MANUAHI DAY – Friday, April 16, 2024

Hilo’s own Lyman Museum will hold a Manuahi Day on Friday, August 16.

If you haven’t experienced the Museum since you were in the 4th grade—or if your keiki haven’t seen it yet—treat your ‘ohana to a free visit to the Best Museum in East Hawai‘i!

The Lyman Museum is the only place in all of Hawai‘i where you can explore both the natural and the cultural history of our islands under one roof. Volcanoes, island formation, natural habitats, plants and animals, marine and land shells, rock and minerals—they are all to be found in the Earth Heritage Gallery. And in the new Island Heritage Gallery you can time travel through the human history of Hawai‘i, from the settlement of these islands to the present day!

While admission this day is free of charge, space is limited and reservations made through the Museum website are required. Time your visit for either 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, or 12:00 to 2:00 PM, or 2:00 to 4:00 PM.

Additional parking for this day only will be available next door at Hilo Union School. For more information, call 808-935-5021 or visit www.lymanmuseum.org. E komo mai!
