We cap our observation of Volcanoes Awareness Month (okay, we’ve extended it into February) with a special program by two noted geologists and volcanologists, Dr. Ken Hon and Dr. Cheryl Gansecki of UH-Hilo. Ken and Cheryl have been studying and filming the current eruption and flow activity since the summer, and their presentation tonight brings together the science and the visual beauty of the ongoing event.
